Resolved Question

Network bonding LTE and adsl

May 28, 2018 7:32AM PDT

So my ADSL in my new flat is pretty bad I get 6.5Mbps download and use my phone as a hotspot most of the time because I can get 30-50Mbps on LTE. So I've been trying to do some research on my own but can't find exactly what I want. So I have an old i3 laptop (would like to get a PC but not got the funds) I'm wondering if it possible to use this old laptop as a router with something like pfsense and therthering my phone to the laptop and load balancing between my ADSL and LTE connections. I don't know if I need a powerful PC or additional hardware to do this

For this one.

You'll need a forum that covers the bonding software you decide to try. My bet is your old laptop won't do. I'll just make a blanket statement and stop. If your old laptop has only a 10/100 megabit Ethernet port then it's a safe bet you'll lose some speed on that old laptop.
