Question

network adapter problem

May 11, 2016 2:33AM PDT

I ran into trouble with my windows 10 being wiped off the pc. Started with installing Ubuntu, worked very well, did not face any adapter problem to get to the Internet.
In my quest to get back to Windows 10.
Went on to the Windows 7 installation, installed without issues.
At the end I found adapter problem, adapter and its driver missing the troubleshoot tells me.
I read Mr. P.Proffitt 's note on the issue, but not sure what and how I should correct it. Internet not available, it is difficult to follow generic instructions ! Or that is what I understand.
There was a point where I had to choose a device, while installing Wins 7, did not understand it and muddled through and got pass that point.
Please help.

If it originally came with Windows 7 go back to factory conditions from the recovery partition (if that is still there) or recovery media (that came with the PC, that you made yourself or that you ordered with the maker). If for some reason you can't do that, and you installed a generic version of Windows 7, download and install all necessary drivers from the makers site. Or, even better, install Windows 10 without going through the detour of Windows 7, if the maker has Windows 10 compatible drivers or they come with Windows 10.

If you don't know what you did, nobody can tell if it was right or wrong.

have to install Windows 7 first. If you download the ISO from MS when your asked for a key you can enter the Windows 7 key (that is if you know it). Once the install is done goto the device manager under Network adapters and see if you have any warnings. If you do right click on the network card and hit update drivers.

I am very grateful to all who helped and I am back where I was. Using my Windows 10.
Only one issue. Or perhaps two ?
My PC is too slow booting and other things than it was before the disaster struck and I started looking for a solution. My PC, windows 10, memory 16gb, a TB hard drive nothing on the Hard Drive yet, apart from a few photographs which are on the One Drive.
The second issue is that I have lost my Malwarebytes paid program which I had installed before the difficulties. I do not have any references and I have not, so far woken up the Malwarebytes with my entreaties for help Any help would be gratefully received.
