Network 5 Internet access

by southdownsman / April 21, 2014 7:00 PM PDT

Since I last restarted my PC, I get a small white box in the bottom left of the screen containing the words 'Network 5 Internet access'.
I have tried everything to get rid of/hide it, but nothing seems to work. It doesn't seem to be one of the icons and notifications that appear in the toolbar that I have successfully hidden.

You're not the only one: http://www.boarddigger.com/t-p4KHIVnyn7k/Network-5-Internet-Access
Alas, the answer is deleted by yahoo.

I think this can come from any software you installed or changed recently that has to do with Internet, ranging from a driver to a firewall. If that doesn't ring a bell, I'd try system restore back to before you got this box.

Thank you. It was after I used System Restore that it first appeared! I have not installed any new software.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
