You need the right "plug-in for this! There are quite a few available. The most popular for music are RealPlayer and Crescendo. However there are others available.Check out this website .

I am sure it has what you need!

Shelene,
Running Moz 1.6f - Win 98se
Good news and bad news.....
Welcome page does not play sound wave file
youAll.wav - mimetype audio/x-wav
I have tried to configure serveral "helper Apps" for audio/x-wav none seem to work.
None of the usual plugins seem to handle this mimetype.

Paint Horse page - plays sound file
Midnightrider.midi - plugin = "Beatnik"

Longhorn page - plays sound file
The cattlecall.mid - Plugin = "Beatnik"

Sorry that I could not be of more help.

Interesting,

I have NO problem hearing youAll.wav in Netscape 7.2 !(Welcome back now)
I also can hear the music on the other pages.

No problems in IE 5.5 Sp2.
No problems in Firefox.

Marianna,

What is handling the "audio/x-wav" file ?
What Plugins do you show ?
What "Helper App's ?

I an not get the Welcome page to play sound for me.

TIA

Hi captjlddavis

Yes, I meant Netscape 7.02 Happy

I have :
. QuickTime Plugin 6.1c
. Live Update Crescendo version 5.1
. Windows Media Player plug-in Dynamic Link Library
. RealPlayer (tm) G2 LiveConnect-Enabled Plugin (32 bit)

One of these plug-ins start the music on the mentioned webpages.

As I click on " view page source" in Netscape I see:
under media:
URL http://www.finitesite.com/diamondsranch/youAll.wav
Type: audio/x-wav
Source: Disk Cache
Size: 19.14 KB (19596 bytes)

The Apple Quicktime plug-in handles also audio/x-wav !

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
