netscape not loading my home page

Jun 17, 2004 12:07PM PDT

This problem is occuring on my old beater pc.
It is running windows 95 and Netscape 4.61, with a 33.6 dial-up modem connection.
I am having trouble loading the home web page for my isp.
Please keep in mind all has been great with this pc for a long time and then suddenly this happens.
I can download and send email from my computer but the home page fails to load. Some times when I click on stop or exit in the browser it crashes and says there was an illegal page fault or I performed an illegal action and will close down.
I am also able to visit other web sites while not being able to load the home page.
I have sent an email to my isp regarding this problem but have not heard back from them yet.
Thank you.

I'd just live with the home page not automatically loading. WIndows 95 crashed a lot and that issue was never resolved. Savvy tech support will either not respond to you or tell you the 95 isn't supported.

You've had 95 and this machine for many years so while it sounds terrible, it's expected by now that you can wipe the drive, install the OS and such as you see fit when needed. You are pretty much on your own, but the only advice I can give is to just ignore that home page issue.

Thanks Bob.
I'll probably just leave it like you say and load something else as my home page.
As for my isp tech support.....still waiting to hear back from them, or not!!
