Netgear WGR614 Router

Jan 25, 2007 9:24AM PST

I'm thinking of setting up a wireless network for a family member using the Netgear WGR614 Wireless Router. The only computer connecting to the network will be a brand new MacBook. Under system requirements the router states that it will work with Mac OS X, however, it also mentions that it needs either Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, or Netscape 6.0 or higher. Does this mean I need to download IE for Mac, or can I get away with using Safari or even Firefox. Also, if anyone knows of any major flaws with the Netgear WGR614 Router I would appreciate hearing about them too.

Just set one up.

And used Firefox (albeit from the PC) to setup.

Should be zero issues.

I have that router and am networking an iMAC, win xp desktop and win xp laptop with no problem. The iMAC immediately picked it up and I was online without having to do anything myself.
