Question

Netgear Router Login Page not working

Apr 15, 2019 5:18PM PDT

Today, I brought net Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router but whenever i try to configure that router with its login page routerlogin.net then the login pge of the router refused to connect. I didn't get any solution by accessing its default IP address 192.168.1.1.

Please suggest me the solution that how can i fix this issue.

Answer
For me the reason was simple.

I don't use the DNS handed out by my router so I must know the router's IP address. In one home I changed it to 10.0.0.1 and the others I might use 192.168.0.1 and the other 1.1.

There is no mystery here. You only need to remember how you setup your router. Do not call those fake router support numbers. You can do this.

I can't tell what procedures you used but I can think of two that I've used. One requires that the device come with a "discovery" application with which you can enter the setup. Remember as well that your PC must use an IP address within the same network as the router's default. You should make sure any other router you have is not connected when you do this. What I do, knowing the router's web interface IP address, is set my PC manually to a static address within the same network as the device to which I want to connect. If your documentation says the default is 192.168.1.1, set your PC's address to something like 192.168.1.2. Once done, you should be able to use the http://(default router address) to enter the login screen. Remember that you must use an Ethernet cable for this purpose and not the Wifi. Good luck.
