I called Netflix a couple months ago about their HD streaming and they said their best HD stream comes to you at 5.5Mbps. If your computer/set-top box has to downgrade the video to keep up the buffer, then it comes in at 1.0Mbps. So depending on what quality you get, you should be able to calculate the approximate data usage for your movies (5.5 x seconds in movie)
I have comcast and they have a 250 gig per month cap. I have been streaming netflix in hd. How much streaming can I do of movies/tv shows without going over the limit? Is there a way to keep track of bandwidth usage. I have a macbook pro and want to track the 360 streaming usage.
