Has anyone heard any updates to the rumors of Netflix coming to the wii?

No

No, but considering the Wii can't do anything over 480p, I don't really expect there would be a lot of demand for this. The best you could basically get, is DVD quality, while the other two would be bluray quality. So Nintendo is probably in no big hurry.

I have heard to the contrary

I have heard that Netflix is preparing discs, similar to those available for the PS3, for the Wii. This was in October and it was rumored to be rolling out sometime in December or January.

Not to mention, streaming media from netflix is AT BEST DVD quality. The other systems in no way stream at Blue ray or any other HD quality. I know, my roommate has a xbox and a ps3. Both of which stream at barely 480i resolutions.

Nintendo should be in a big hurry. With wii sales slipping and a lack of games out, they need whatever they can get to bolster sales.
