Netflix, Blockbuster, etc missing from my new BD-7900

Sep 16, 2010 7:00AM PDT

My new BD-7900 Unit is missing all the Widgets for Netflix, Blockbuster, etc. The only widgets I am able to download are Facebook, Twitter, and a few others, nothing for video or audio streaming. Is there anyway I can download these from Samsung's Web site and add them though the USB? I have already updated to the latest firmware release and nothing has changed.

Thank you for any help.

rhekmat,

If this is the BD-C7900, Netflix should appear on the top of the splash screen. What are you able to see after the unit is powered on?

Samsung BD-7900

All i have on the splash screen is Facebook and Twitter. The two items I downloaded from the Samsung Apps Application. But I also have a BD-6500 in another room and it too has the same missing items. Now let me add that I purchased the two Blu-Ray players in Best Buy in the USA and I am using them in another country, Dominican Republic. Perhaps when the players connect to the internet and see the IP address is not from USA they do not allow Netflix, Blockbuster, and other apps to appear. But what I do not understand is why at least they do not show YouTube. My LED C8000 TV has YouTube Application on it but the Blu-Ray Players do not.
Thank you.
