Try the battery pull again and if it's easy, with the battery out, remove the RAM and stick it back in. Same for the HDD.
That's about it for the easy stuff. After that we look at if the charger is working, etc.

My laptop was working fine, then I shutdown normally and was gone for about 45 minutes. When I came back it was still at the final shutdown screen (where it says 'windows is shutting down' and has the blue logo in the background). I forced shut down by holding the power button. When I went to turn it on the power icon came on but nothing else did. I tried the reset soulution (unhook ac and battery, then hold the power button for 60 secs and then hook backup and turn on) all that did was enable the fan and the icon next to the battery icon to turn on for like 2 seconds but then it stops. Not quite sure what to do. Any help is apprectiated.
