Question

Netbook has stopped working

by fredaw1 / November 2, 2011 7:49 AM PDT

My netbook was working fine and was connected wirelessly to the internet. I left it for 5mins and when I came back to it, it had switched itself of. It now will not turn back on and shows no lights when plugged into the mains.

Answer
Try the generic reset.

It's over in the CNET Laptop Troubleshooting forum so here's the short version.

Turn off, remove AC, battery then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Release, slip in the battery then apply the AC and retest.

Answer
One possible solution

I had the same problem and this was my solution. Disconnect from A/C - then remove the battery and leave for approx. 1/2 hour. Next turn the power switch on and off. Then re-install the battery - charge for about 1/2 hour. Then try turning it back on. This worked for me with my Acer netbook. Good Luck. (PS. If this doesn't work, contact the manufacturer for suggestions)

Meet the drop-resistant Moto Z2 Force

The Moto Z2 Force is really thin, with a fast processor and great battery life. It can survive drops without shattering.
