Netbook advice--buy now or wait for better?

I need to purchase a netbook for some upcoming overseas travel at the end of the year. I'd like to have a little time to get used to it before I leave, so was considering making the purchase in the coming week or two. Does anyone have advice on whether or not now is a good time to buy? I'm willing to wait until the beginning of December if it means I'll get a cool new model, but if nothing new/good is coming then I'll probably go on and make a purchase. To that end, does anyone have a favorite high-end netbook? (I'm willing to spend up to 600).
