Nero Vision crashes when I try to add an avi file?

Apr 7, 2010 5:30PM PDT

I'm trying to convert an avi file to dvd format but whenever I try to add this specific avi file from my computer, Nero Vision just shuts down. It's only this one specific avi that's giving me trouble, others work just fine.

I've tried using both Nero 7 and 9, same results. How do I solve this problem? Please help!

The file seems to contain something that Nero doesn't like. Try another program file DVD Flick (free, open source) to convert to DVD.

but without link to his favorite program (so favorite, in fact, that all his 3 posts in this forum mention it):

"If both Nero 7 and Nero 9 can't recognize the avi file, there should be 2 possibility of this problem. one is Nero and other is AVI. I suggest you take another software to have a try. If the third software can't read the avi, that must be your avi file's broken."

You'll find many shareware avi-players and dvd-creators.
