Nero rescue agent?

Is this a rescue/recovery utility for optical media that is similar to the hard disc tools that have been around since the days of chkdsk & Paul Mace? I've been looking for a tool like this for ages. ...ever since the first optical disc I trusted precious info to in the early 90s 'faded' into an error-filled coaster.

I often find owners that are not able to read such CDs but when I check their CD/DVD drive is years old. I try a new drive and sometimes get lucky. As to such rescue software, you will find such if you go searching. Since that's for you and goodle, I'm going to decline doing that for you and just note what I do to get some data back.
