Nero cd burning software

Sep 15, 2004 9:34AM PDT

I rec'd Nero software with my new ext. maddog burner following directions to burn photos to a cd exactly. Burns were a success but can't read them at all. Perhaps they were mpegs instead of jpegs. Maddog can't help....said they don't recommend the software for photos and Nero won't answer my email.....Photos can only be seen using the dvd program that came with the burner and they can't be copied back to my harddrive or to another cd. I'd hate to lose all these beautiful (almost 500) photographs. Help!!!!!! Windows ME Pwntium III 1GHz

Hey there,

Questions pertaining to computers are best answered at one of the other forums. You might try Hardware or Computer Help.

But here's a thought. Try burning the files a just plain data and don't specify pictures. Some burning software can do strange things when you try to be too specific.

I agree with Coryphaeus. I use Nero and have burned many pictures to cd without a problem reading or seeing them. As Coryphaeus has suggested to you, I have always burnt them to cd as data. Works every time. Happy

Oh, and unless you have already deleted them, the pictures should still be on your computer. When you use "drag & drop" in Nero, it makes a copy on the cd.

I use DeepBurner... sounds dumm but it's free and top rated on www.downloads.com Happy

It's very very simple and if you don't need a lot of "features" it's a great tool.
