NeoOffice help

Sep 25, 2006 9:51AM PDT

Okay, I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place to post but, I just started classes today and need to write papers soon.

I opted for NeoOffice because it was free (no x11) and the last time I checked MS Office was not universal and costs $150 (student ed., btw, I use a Macbook).

I need specific margins for these papers and would like to know where I can change the left and right margins (like in MS Office, File, then page setup) to the professor's liking. I tried looking all over the NeoOffice menu but couldn't exactly find it.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

NeoOffice has a Help selection
Sep 26, 2006 12:43PM PDT

in the command line. Click on Help in the command line, and select Contents. Select the Index tab. Type "Margin" in the Search Term field... click on the "setting" selection... Essentially, use the visible rulers and drag the triangles to where you want the margin(s) to be. Be sure your printer can handle it.

This is a whole lot easier than MS Word... or any other word processor I've used... If it isn't a big text file you are working on, why not just use TextEdit included with your Mac? It is even easier than NeoOffice.
