Some commas and full stops would have helped there.

You said, "I have a windows xp from Dell and the office portion of this software is not useable to all wanting to view my e mail since i have corell as my office suite"

I don't understand.

You already have Bob's suggestion of Open Office, but what do you mean by "the office portion of this software is not useable to all wanting to view my email"?

Re: download MS Word

Although (or maybe because) Microsoft is making billions of $ a year as PROFIT from the Office suite (with profit margins > 70% or so) they aren't inclined to give it away. So no free downloads available. But OpenOffice is a good replacement (and I'm sure the same goes for the Corel Office suite, if you happen to have that).

Why don't you explain why Corel office isn't suited for what you want to do with it? Personally I use Outlook Express to view my email, but my children use IE or Firefox, because they have an hotmail-account. What do you want to do exactly, and what happens (error message and the like)?
And please don't forget to add capitals, comma's and full stops as Mark already suggested. It makes your message much more understandable for everybody but yourself.

What is your problem ?

Am I correct that:

? You have Windows XP.
? You have Corel Office Suite (Word Perfect? )
? Your friends have MS Word.
? Your friends send to you a MS Word attachment, and
you are not able to open it.

If the above is correct, then have your friends save the MS Word Document in rtf format, and you will be able to open the attachment with your Corel Word Perfect or your browser- yes, your browser !
