That downloading usually involved the use of P2P software like Limewire and other titles.
Only when we get the machine off the crack (software) can we begin to have a normal PC.
Is there any hope the downloading will stop?
I have searched around on this forum and have found a lot of useful information. My only problem is that I do not have the tech skills to incorporate them into a working action. Here is my problem, I do a LOT of downloading of movies, music, pictures, etc., and I know that I have issues with my computer. I have attempted to use anti-spyware and anti-viral programs, but things seem to progressively get worse. What started off as a slowing down of my pc has now erupted to crashing of my firefox windows out of nowhere and a lethargic operation of my computer. I know that I have the software to correct this, but when I use some of them, I do not understand what it is that I am looking at. I am hoping that someone can offer a guideline basic of what I need to look for and how to help correct my computer. Here is the system that I have: Dell Optiplex GX745 - 230GB HD - Pentium D 3.4GHz Dual - 2GB Ram. It is a networked computer that has Cisco Clean Access and Microsoft Forefront Client Security that automatically runs. Additional programs include Ad-Aware and Ad-Watch, CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner, CleanUP!, Hijack This / CWShredder Installer 1.0, Hijack This 1.99.1, SpyBot Search & Destroy, and VundoFix V7.0.6. Now granted most of these are simple to use, but I do not have to proper knowledge to know how to use them to their full potential. If anybody can offer me any assistance on this, I would greatly appreciate it!
