Needing a new HP

by dragonmaster0430 / January 1, 2010 5:31 AM PST

I'm looking for new HP.
I'm a graphic designer and gamer so I'll need one with a great graphic card and processor (or so i've been told).
I like 16.5 sized screens
Keyboards without the number keypad(not a major issue though)
Webcam and mic would be wonderful
I've seen textured mousepads too, those are nice lol

Anyone have any suggestions?

You should be able to connect it to a monitor.
External keyboard and mouse, the same for a webcam.
It can be used to install linux as a spare system.

Still, buy yourself another.

Too Many Options To Choose From...

My first question was: "Why limit it to HP?" But whether you only want HP computers or are willing to expand to other brand names, there are way too many computers on the market to simply make a recommendation based on the information you've given us. You've not really made it clear why a laptop is a requirement since a desktop computer usually is a cheaper, better, and longer lasting alternative for gaming and graphics intensive applications. No mention of the country where you will be using the computer.. No mention of price limits.

We'll need to know if there are any specific computers you've been looking at.. If you've got a couple of machines for comparison, we might be able to give you opinions on which one we prefer.

Hope this helps.

i'm limiting the choice to HP because my moms gets a nice discount on HP LAPTOPS from her job. laptop is the only options because that is all my mother gets a discount on and she paying and a laptop is manditory to bring to class for my college classes. the price would be nice under 1500 but with my moms discount most of the laptops on the HP site are with a decent range. I'm in the united states. i have no option for laptops i have been looking at because my laptop just broke,my classes start back thursday and i have had no time to browse around thats why i asked for suggestions here.

At just under 1K it's not a full tilt gamer but the dv6-1361sb may nice enough. Just try out that keyboard to be sure you'll like it.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
