Resolved Question

Need Windows 8 primer

Dec 12, 2012 4:30AM PST

I recently bought a new computer for my uncle (in his eighties) because his IBM with XP had 3% available processing. Unfortunately it is Windows 8 as no Windows 7 were in stores. He has a 2 year old monitor but it is not Touch. Are there any guides available online or for purchase in print that will help him with the basics? We live 2500 miles apart. He bought the tech support package and talks to them daily but he would like to have something in hand. Jan

Where are you shopping?

I went to amazon, newegg and other places and can get Windows 7 machines without any problem. Take it back. If Microsoft blew this round, help send the message.

Now, where are you shopping?

Taking it back to Best Buy is not an option. My uncle (83) is a retired telephone company tech so he can follow written manuals well, we just haven't found any yet.

Then the one from Amazon and GET A START BUTTON.
