But beware the 127GB issue. If you are changing the drive and the old drive was less than 127GB my advice is to stick to 120GB drives.
I have to replace the failed hard drive in my laptop; a Prostar model D47V, but I?m not sure what drive to buy. I bought this laptop around 2003 or 2004. The current information I see on the failed HD is:
Hitachi Travelstar
Model: HTS726060M9AT00
7200 RPM
ATA/IDE
16 heads
As I search for new hard drives online and my favorite online store, I often see ATA-6. Is this compatible? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
