Need to reinstall deleted software

by lablover / March 20, 2006 6:57 AM PST

Win Xp Home, 1 gig memory, 60 gig HD with 50 gig available, Dell 4700.

Several weeks ago, I deleted JASC Paint shop Pro because I didn;t use it and thoought I didn't need it.
Yesterday I tried to use my Dell printer software to scan a document to email to a friend. I got an error message indicating the system was looking for the JASC Paint Shop software.
I tried the Dell cd that should have contained the software, but nothing is there.
I thought that maybe my Photoshop Elements software might do the job but I got nothing.

How can I reinstall this without purchasing Paint shop pro?

Reinstalling deleted software.

?Try system Restore.

?The JASC program, may be on another CD which came with your Printer/Scanner Combo, but if you received only one CD, then try reinstalling the Printer/Scanner.

?You should be able to scan with Photo Elements - Open the program, go to File Menu and choose ''Import'', then your scanner..."Acquire Image"...(for example). (You have to have your Printer/Scanner is a Combo, isn't it ? )

1.) Try running System Restore to a time before you uninstalled it. That would also remove any programs you've installed since, but would solve the immediate problem. You could then undo that restore so that you return to the latest setup.

2.) JASC Paint Shop Pro is now Corel Paint Shop Pro, which has a free trial you could download and use.

3.) If the program came preinstalled, call Dell and ask about finding it on CD. (It should be on the Dell Tools CD.)

4.) Unassociate JASC PSP as the program to complete the task and reassociate another program. For directions on that we'd need a little more information, such as the scanner make and model.

Hope this helps,

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
