Question

Need to recover password

May 12, 2011 4:41AM PDT

Before the updates installed I changed the computer name and it restarted immediately to install the updates. Arrrggghh!!! Now my password doesn't match my username. Password reset wizard comes up but I don't have a reset password disk. What can I do?
I can't log on.

NTPASSWD is a bootable CD.

I think you need to see the directions on its use. It does not require us to log on.

For those that can't use NTPASSWD, you can try http://www.lostpassword.com which for a few bucks will ship you a CD/Floppy/USB stick and will walk folk through the use of their solution.
