Need to know where to purchase a power board for Hitachi TV

Oct 5, 2008 1:16PM PDT

Hello,

I'm having trouble finding a replacement power board for my Hitachi 36" model# 36fx48b. I need part# JK03766-f also known as M7LXU2 power P.W.B.

I have found 1 site UED.net but, It's not in stock.

It would not power on one day so I took it appart and noticed a blown fuse on the board. I went to my local electronics shop and purchased a exact replacement fuse. As soon as I plugged it up, some resistors on the power board sparked and fried up in smoke. I have the tech. manual for the T.V. and know the value of the charred resistors and know how to replace them but, I know that something else malfunctioned causing the resistors to fry. What went wrong?

I would hate to have to rebuild this board. I don't know verry much about T.V.'s.

Does anyone know where I can find this part?

Hello,
I have the exact same problem and my board did the exact same thing- I replace the fuse and poof-sparks and total burn out. I was told by the local tv repair shop that this a common occurance when the fuse is replaced.
If I find one I will let you know but I also need one so let me know.
