Question

Need to know what Professional Camcorder to get

Mar 18, 2015 4:38AM PDT

I am looking for a professional camcorder for me and my friends to film YouTube videos with and know nothing about which camcorder is good etc. We will be filming mostly indoors but will also be filming a good amount outdoors. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could recommend one that would work great for me and my friends. If you could also recommend where to buy it at and how much it is at that place. The things I need in it:
-must be 1080p or above
-must be under $2,000
-must have directional mic included unless you can recommend a good one that works with whatever camcorder you recommend
-must be able to use sd card if it does not have internal memory
-must have good video and sound indoors and outdoors with wind up to 15 mph
-lowlight filming will be minimal
-would like to have a remote to push a button and start recording but not necessarily needed
-must be tripod compatible

Thanks in advanced for your time, effort, and help!

Not one had the usual wind sock muffler included. Let's hear what you use now and why must the camcorder deal with wind? The audio person should know how to add the usual. If not, they would hit youtube howto videos to catch up.

PS. How about sharing what you use now or in the past.

Let me remark that a true professional wouldn't ask such on a consumer-oriented forum like this one. he would use his professional media and professional expertise.
This only shows you aren't one.

I would suggest a consumer cam. YouTube compresses the video to such an extent, a "professional" camera is a waste of money. So as an example I am using my camera, A Panasonic HC-V750.
Videos at 1080/60p
Is under $2000.
Has a zoom controlled mic PLUS an external mic socket. Suggest you look at electret condenser video microphones.
Is SD card based. A 32Gb SDHC Class 10 card would be suitable.
No camcorder is good in wind. This is where your external mic comes in. Get one with a decent wind muff or "deadcat".
Gives decent low light filming.
The HC-V750 (and some others) has NFC and can be controlled with an App on your Smartphone (which should also have NFC - I use a Samsung)
All camcorders have a 1/4" tripod mount.

You will also need a decent video editor. I use Corel VideoStudio Pro X8. This has a direct access to yoyr YT account. It runs on a PC.
