We can guess why since delays and such are unacceptable on audio systems. Your best bet is to place the laptop on the boundary zone where the door way is.
What I don't understand from your post is your claim there are extenders then I can't find the make/model to check them out.
Bluetooth may be the wrong solution here. It was meant to be about a 10 meter solution.

Hello everyone, I need some help.
I have a hp elitepad 900 with bluetooth as well as a couple of bluetooth computers. I have them paired to my my motorolla HT820 wireless hands free head set.
(yes I know it is old tech. but I am partially def in one ear and background noise makes it worse these work the best for me, plus they have great sound)
Ok here is the problem, the range. I am living in an apartment building with 12" thick reinforced concrete outer walls, and 6" reinforced concrete inner walls with 12" reinforced concrete celing... You get my problem, I am basically living in a bomb shelter.
I get signal with the line in the open living area, 20' but as soon as i step out on to the balcony, or up stairs or other room or if I turn my head away from the computer it starts to break up.
I would love to get signal in every room and out side to chat and use skype, but how can I do this.
My head set is a transmitter/ hands free microphone and reciever/ speakers. I know that there are extenders to throw your signal further but I dont think this will help me as I also need to transmit from my headset.
Is there such thing as a bluetooth relay station? that can capture and resend my signal further?? Please let me know any help would be great.
