Need to delete a running process; Hijack This Help

How do I delete WToolsS.exe, WToolsA.exe, ViewMgr.exe, WSup.exe? My computer says that these programs are running and cannot be deleted. The Hijack This website said to delete these programs manually though.

Also, the report said that this was running: C:\PROGRA~1\Web Offer\apev.exe
Where is this located so I can delete it?

Xtina,

Whenever posting questions on these forums, please give us as much information as possible about your computer. Depending on your issue, we might need the operating system, processor speed, amount of RAM installed, brand name of the computer, (if there is one), and any EXACT error messages you are receiving, and any other information you think might be helpful. The more information you give us, the better informed our answer will be.

In addition to running HijackThis, have you tried running the free spyware removal tools from the links below?:

Ad-Aware 6 Spyware Removal Tool

?Spybot Search & Destroy? Spyware Removal Tool

CWShredder Hijack Removal Tool

After downloading, installing, then updating the first two programs, above, restart the computer into "Safe Mode" (Click HERE for HOW TO START IN SAFE MODE), then run the programs while in Safe Mode. The CWShredder program can simply be download to the desktop, then run while in "Safe Mode". They should be able to remove the problem files in "Safe Mode". If not, then find the files by navigating to them in Windows Explorer and manually delete them.

Hope this helps.
