by krumrei / May 27, 2008 3:49 AM PDT

I need to figure out how to collectivley add all the changes made to the document to get a grand total of all the changes made to a Word 2003 document.

This is used for metrics purposes.

Either count them on the screen or write a VBA program to collect the statistics. There are not so many alternatives, I'm afraid.

Would the VBA reside as a Macro or outside Word?

That's your choice.

You can write it whereever you like and using OLE-techniques open the document.

Programming in VBA has three difficult points:
1. Programming in general.
2. The VBA language.
3. The Word collections, objects, methods and properties in particular.

Start with a few tutorials, then buy a good book about programming in Word.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
