Answer
Control Touchpad on all Dell Laptops
Apr 14, 2018 8:00PM PDT

Hi,

Presuming the Dell Touchpad drivers have been installed open Control Panel, Change View By (Top Right) to Large Icons, look for Dell Touchpad icon. Double click the icon and you can change all the settings to the touchpad, buttons & pointer stick if your Dell has one.

If Control Panel doesn't diplay the touchpad as being Dell then download the driver from the Dell Support website using your Service Tag to identify the drivers for your laptop, select your OS and then download & install the driver.

Lastly if your running Win 10 and Dell don't have support drivers for Win 10 for your model Dell simply look at the next few Dell Isprion Models till you have one that has Win 10 drivers. In most cases that driver will work with your Dell Touchpad.

Trust this helps.

What Model Insprion do you have or what is the Service Tag Number.

Also what is the OS your running & is it Home or Pro?

This will help try to get it sorted for you.

Thanks

Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude laptop so it may be a different Dell Touchpad Control Software.

Anyway I open Control panel, then Dell Touchpad, Click on Sensitivity, then click Tapping and untick Tap to Click.

That works on the Latitude so maybe it will work on your Inspiron.
