Sony Sound Forge, the full version, has a clipped peak restoration filter. It will help, but pristine sound cannot be recovered.
Recorded my brother from a radio stream, but it recorded too loud, so its distorted. I downloaded WavePad to try to fix it, and one of the options is the equalizer, which I'm thinking might help. Am I right? The problem is, if I am right, I don't know how to set the hertz or whatever else needs to be done to do this. I've tried to use the high pass and the low pass filters, but these haven't helped much. Can anyone tell me how to clean up my recording?
