Need to capture "scrolling files" on screen to text or pdf

We have a remote system that scrolls reports and files to screen in 132 character width format. It can print to our local printer which is on a static IP.

We need to capture this to the local disk as txt or pdf. Multiple Windows, but most XP.

The ability to capture and view/search/edit the file on screen would be great as well.

Currently we can save to an FTP site and transfer, but new security regulations will prevent us from accessing from dynamic IP addresses which means we cannot access when traveling.

Free utilities would be best, of course.

the security officer and tell him of your requirements. Then - if acknowledged as a requirement by the management - somebody in the IT dept will have to find a solution.
