Question

Need to buy a new dvd/cd-rom

I think my burner is going out, so how do I know what 'type' to look for. Or maybe there is a site that I can put info in and it will tell me what I need to buy. Since this is a desktop - Dell Inspiron 3647 - it needs to be an "internal" drive. Does not have to be a "dual" layer type. I have replaced one before, but its been a while, and I don't remember what steps I took to buy the right one.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Sony has always had the best, but really most cheaper ones work just fine.
