Need to back up

Dec 2, 2006 10:16AM PST

I need to back up the hard drive on one of my computers, but I have some problems... When I turn on the computer, it loads XP and everything. But when I open any of the user profiles, the computer loads for about 5 seconds, and then automatically restarts... I want to save the files on the hard drive... any ideas?

Install a new drive, the OS and then...

Add the failed drive as a slave. You can then copy out the files to CDRW/DVDRW and your new install.

hooking up as slave into another PC is good solution, but
bear in mind using win backup utilities won't help u.
