need to add memory

my computer has 8gb hard drive & 64mb ram, can I take out the 64 and put in 128 without a problem? are there settings that i will have to change or is it an easy install? thanks.

Chances are good.

There are very few machines that would hiccup on such an update. And unless the machine is very old, you should have to change anything.

As Bob Said, you shouldn't have problem if the memory is good. Computer will automatically recognize it. On a side
note, ever thought of putting the 64MB stick in the second slot for a total of 192MB? Most computers will
handle it. If it doesn't work, take it out. Remember,
128MB in the 1st slot. Good luck. chuck

Like as has been indicated...usually a simple install, however go to www.crucial.com, key in your PC model etc...and they will tell you what the max is for your particular PC as well as the type etc..

On one of my PC's they indicate the max is 192MB and all I added was a 64MB stick to bring it up to 192.
