Need technical help for Motorola V557

Bought a Motorola V557 for Christmas and I absolutely love it. My only problem is with the pictures and videos. I can easily send the pics to my email address, but cannot open them. Can anyone help me? Also, should I open an account at cingular.com and send the pics there instead? HELP!
