need sugguestion "Static routing of multimedia data"

I am PhD student in Italy,right now i am doing literature review on Static Routing of Multimedia data.

RIght now i am focussing to improve the static routing algorithm in multimedia application and second task is secure the streaming data.

What do you think about this topic for my PhD ?

Any suggestion you would like to give me.

There is quite a bit of paper on moving bits around the internet already. I can't see what's new here but let's say your prof OK'd it. Now if you use Google to find out more, wouldn't that be a form of plagiarism? And wouldn't I find what you put into your paper with Google?

Not only that, such security would break common players and apps. How would you market this?
