General discussion

Need suggestions on what camera to buy.

Hey guys, for the past 2 years I have been making movies consider to be "Professional" in e-sports and have been successful. But it's been a while since i quit everything related to e-sports and I decided to continuo into movie making (editing). I'm already teaching classes to grade 7's in my school with various beginner editing programs and some using Sony vegas. I have lots of experience in editing and no experience in filming so i don't want to go to bestbuy and buy a random video camera and regret it latter. I want a video camera that is at least cheap a fairly good resolution, one with good battery life and other things that matter. I might post more of what i need in a video camera if anyone is interested in helping me out. oh yes and i need a camera that doesn't cost 700 bux or more.

-PS sorry for giving my life story Sad

Whatever you do, do not get a DVD camcorder. I regretted my purchase of one the first week. Near impossible for editing. MiniDV seems best for you. I would recommend a Sony or Panasonic. They perform best in low-light and in features, overall. Hope this helps.
