Need suggestions....

Jul 29, 2012 5:42AM PDT

I am using a Droid Rzr with ICS Android having an interesting issue with my America Online email. Despite trying to synch with the email server the emails are displaying 5 days later on the phone, but current on the computer. I am sure there is some setting I can update but I can't find one for the life of me.

Just wild guesses from me

as I don't have a smart phone, (or one that can accept email).

It might be an email app setting on the Android. Which app are you using for that?.

But I wonder if there is anything in AOL that you need to do, to sync popping the email so both the computer and the Desktop at the same time?

The built-in email application, not a downloaded application. I can view emails from over 5 days ago, but not current email. I am going to try uninstalling my email account from the phone and then re-install the same account. Just thought someone else might have experienced the same issue and can offer another suggestion.

I have the HTC Evo 4g and the email app is

Annoying. I start it up and I'm never sure if it fetched the email. It also has some odd idea of order to show the email which I never figured out. So I do notice that if I hit the menu button and then the check for email it might get more emails. Repeat that and again more emails.

Support has been non-existant on the stock app and why I simply ignore that and instead pull up my email via the web browser.

The more android units I play with (our office is doing some android apps) the more I agree that Android is the new Windows.

I did uninstall my AOL email account on the phone, reinstalled and it is working now. Weird, but as long as the problem is solved.
