need some virus removal help

I have a Windows ME and Windows XP Dual Boot System, and I have this virus called "TrojanDownloader.Win32.Delf.bs". My Nortan Antivirus program in Windows ME doesn't detect it, My Kaspersky Defender Pro Antivirus program in Windows XP detects it but is not doing anything about the virus although it has told me where all the infected files are. I have removed almost every file except this one that resides in:
"c:\system volume information\_restore{412128ce-93f6-4396-948e-69d1496dc7b0}\rp74\a0007634.exe/MatrixSetup.exe". Is this area accessible, and if accessible how do I remove the file? Is there anything in the registry that I need to remove also? Please help me resolve this issue.

Hi,

That path is the System Restore directory. You can get rid of the infected file by disabling System Restore.

Go to http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001111912274039?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam to disable System Restore in Windows XP

Go to http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001012513122239?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam to turn off System Restore in Win ME.

Restart the system after you've disable/turn off System Restore. Ran a full system scan again. Once clean, enable/turn on System Restore again.
