Need some help with battery life on JVC GZ-HM320 HD camcorde

Jun 6, 2010 9:17PM PDT

I'm new to the HD recording aspects of life, and I'm looking to buy the JVC GZ-HM320 at Costco fro $350, and I had a few questions.

1: What's the difference in battery life when I'm recording in 1080P, rather than 720P or SD?

2: If the battery life sucks when I'm in HD, can I record while I have the power cord attached? (not necessarily charging the battery, but just powering the device, this is my noob question)

battery lasts for around 2 hours. the camera records in 1080i, not 1080p/720p/standard def. you usually can record with the ac cord plugged in

Are you sure not 1080p?

Everything I've seen about the camera on jvc's sites, and at the store indicate 1080p. Is it just 1080p at 30fps? or does it actually not have 1080p?

thanks for your reply btw

Is that relevant to all camcorders in the price range? If so, am I getting a good deal?

I think 1080i is ok, I'm not a prosumer or anything. I plan on throwing it in premiere, and uploading to youtube or burning to bluray.
