Need Some Help Researching

Jun 28, 2005 4:25PM PDT

Ladies and Gentlemen of the CNet boards its been awhile since I even touched the ins and outs of a laptop so I am asking for the help of this fourm to find me a perfect laptop that fits my needs.

I am a college kid trying to find a good laptop just for typing out papers and enough power to get in touch basis on downloading with iTunes. Nothing extremely graphic benching will be done on this laptop, the most it will get is probably Gunbound to kill time or some presentations I would have to do on Flash or Power Point. If you can stay away from companies like DELL who doesn't send in the Operating System, and have their user friendly crap that no one uses. Good warranty is a plus.(I had to ask DELL for my XP Professional OS which I bought with my dad's package on his computer)

What I am working with is about $1,500. I would like to pack more RAM than Processer speed. Also keep it at a small laptop lightweight and nothing over than seven pounds. I hope you can help me out and got the idea what I am seeking.
