need some help choosing a video card

Nov 6, 2004 2:17AM PST

Well, I need some help picking out an AGP 8x video card. I would like to keep it below $200 for now, and I have picked out two that I might buy.

For $119
256mb DDR, 1.9 billion texels/ sec, 250 MHz core clock, 450 MHz memory clock, 6.4 GB/sec mem bandwith

For $99
256mb DDR, 1 billion texels/ sec, 425 MHz core clock, 550 MHz memory clock, 8.8 GB/sec mem bandwith

Of those two, which would you reccomend (or if you have any others to reccomend)? I would like to have 256mb of memory, but I could settle for 128.

And finally, how can the cheaper one have a faster core clock and memory clock with more bandwith, but a slower fill rate?? Also, how does a faster core clock benefit me if it does not increase the fill rate?

So many questions, so little room to type... thanks in advance for your help.

I wouldn't buy any of those.

No make or model so no way to check out reviews and benchmarks.

Whoever is offering such cards with so little information would not get my dollar.

For that dollar, move past the LE model.
