Would not play anything but a SVCD or VCD. It tried to play DVD+R in ISO 1 recording, but it just would not work. I replaced the DVD players in the house with newer units that list DVD+ and DVD- as compatible media and now it all works great.
The transcode to PAL and back reminds me of what a friend that pirates a video off a P2P network told me. But we won't talk further about illegal downloads and how to make DVDs from such. It's against the forum policies.
There's a lesson in there somewhere.

Hey guys...
I use Nero EOM with Vision Express 2, my system is XP SP2, 2.26GHZ 512MB RAM and I use external LITEON dual layer DVD+- RW. I have some avi movie files that are in PAL and I need to burn them onto the dvd. When I use NeroVision Express 2 it asks me if I want to keep it in PAL but every time i select no. I do keep my burn settings to NTSC. Once it transcodes and burns the dvd it cannot be played in a dvd player. I have burned some avi files that were in NTSC already and they work fine in any dvd player. However when PAL avi file is transcoded to NTSC and burned it only works on my portable mintek dvd player. It wont even play on my APEX player or any other in the house. Can anyone help me? Thanks for your replys and help.
