Need simple tutorial for new MP3 recorder / player

Jul 24, 2007 5:33PM PDT

I'd like to invite anyone who has a Sony IC Recorder MP3 to help me set up this device for my daughter's online language program. I recieved this from a friend without a manual, so I haven't got the foggiest on how to start the process. Instructions? Web site?
Thank you in advance for any help.

What I can find for you.

The download page for UPDATES for the PC-program that comes with the recorders: http://www.sony.com/SonySearch/Search.jsp?mode=&pst=ic+recorder&pti=0&psti=0&st=ic+recorder+manual&ti=0
There seem to be different types with different software.

If I click on one of them, the download page comes up, but it states explicitely that you need the original program for the update to work. Did your friend give you that software.

This last page contains (on the top row) a link to the download page for the manuals. Curiously, it's a page in Spanish (well, there live a lot of Hispanics in the USA). Just fill in the model number, and see what happens.

Hope this helps.

Simple Voice recorder...

Thanks for the reply. I found out from Sony that the unit I have requires additional software to translate into a WAV file. So, I'm returning it for a Sony ICBP520 that includes the Digital Voice Editor software - do I have this right?!
