too many have failed to correctly create the USB to install windows. Instead download the windows 10 ISO and "burn image" to a DVD, then reboot to the DVD and should work OK for you then.
To cut to the chase, I put my laptop down too heavily while it was running, and it bsod'ed. When I looked up the bsod error what I found was that it was a hdd corruption/failiure, so I removed the hdd and booted up my computer . As expected it loaded straight into the bios so I concluded that it must be a faulty hdd. As I already had an ssd without an os already installed in to the computer, I decided to try installing Windows 8.1 on to the ssd using a usb installer I had created following Microsoft's instructions. I then set the boot priority order so that the usb was first, and booted up with the usb in. However rather than doing what it was meant to, I got another blue screen saying "your pc needs to be repaired. The OS couldn't be loaded because the kernel is missing or contains errors". "File: windows\system32\ntoskml.exe" "Error code: 0xc 0000098". It wanted me to use the recovery tools on my installation media, but as my laptop came pre loaded with windows 8.1, I never had any recovery or install disk. As I had upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10, I decided to try formatting my usb and making a windows 10 install on it, but when I tried running this it just came up with a black screen error message and wouldn't run at all, and in the process and somehow managed to permanently corrupt an otherwise brand new usb. So I have run out of ideas on how to fix and, or if it is even possible or to fix. Any suggestions or input would be welcome, though 91st this point I'm thinking the best course of action will just be to take it to a pc repair shop and see what they can do.
