need second opinions!!!

Building a new rig, all my parts are gaming and vista ready but i did some research and now im not sure if i should go vista or not! need some reasons why i should go? only reason i can think of is the next games comin out. thanks

Vista has no real compelling reasons for using it over XP. Just as XP was basically a warmed over Windows2000 with a new graphical look, Vista is basically a warmed over XP with a new graphical look.

There's really nothing compelling about Vista... At all. Everything new about it Apple has been doing with OS X for about as long as Vista's been in development, and with maybe a quarter of the hardware.

Given the huge installed base of XP users and the difficulty MS has been having convincing people to move to Vista... I don't expect there to be many Vista only games for many years to come.

work in vista, then maybe you ought to make a list of reasons not to switch to vista. If this list is something you cant live without then dont install vista, if you can live with it then install vista. Just dont get the basic version.

I am not a gamer by any means, so I cant help knowledge of games in Vista. I do however have 64-bit vista installed and love it.
