I fear the budget will be an issue.

Hi all,
First post here. I want to buy a cCamcorder . I'm extremely hard of seeing so it MUST be simple or with many Auto features. Capturing in HD seems a must. And it has to have either a wired or wireless remote control for turn on/off, and zoom if possible. Of course... auto focus is a must, and able to reside on a stand/tripod. And I'd want to not spend more than $400. Is this possible? I'd want to do post production processing with the data as well. So any ideas on a bundle of CC & software would be very well received. Loads of thanks.

I went direct to the makers prior to seeing your post yesterday. Panasonic & Cannon. Cannon support and customer service is readily available and knowledgeable. Quite nice and courteous too. I can not say the same for Panny and I own several Panny items. No one there knew what I was talking about and they kept switching me around. After 20 mins I just gave up and hung up.
I guess I should have asked for Peggy right off the bat.
Cannon has a few. Wireless controls. They begin at the HFM 400 & up. Or at $599 or so. Cannon has a sale on now and the prices offered me there were not terrible... but still. The HFM 41 interests me... but not it's price at $650.
I sincerely appreciate the input. A lot. Thanks.
