A very effective way to save money on printer ink is to use concept quality (uses half the inkt) or 2 pages on one (for text) where possible. Of course, that isn't possible if you print pictures, but if you can use it, it saves quite a lot (if you can print a 100-page report in concept quality on 50 pages of paper, you only use 25% of the ink, so you save 75% of your money). Add generic cartridges in stead of original ones, and you save 85%.
