Hi I have a AMD emachine WinXP, using Jetico firewall. I would like to share my photos by way of email to friends, but cant. I tried using Webshots and I get an error. I tried using Shutterfly and cant get it to work for me either. Any suggestions.

Sharing Photos

eMail usually has a limit as to the size of the file that you can send. The limit may be at your end or at the receiving end (or both).

If you file size is over 1 meg, you are likely encountering that limit.

Use a software program to reduce the size of the photo file that you are sending. I suggest that you not send a photo by email larger that about 800 x 600.
If the person you send the email to, has a dial-up connection to the internet they will not appreciate getting a huge attachment with an email.

Try email again but with a 640 x 480 photo.
And when you send that email, send a copy to yourself too. That way you can see if it is working.

If that works, try sending a 800 x 600 photo file.
Again, send a copy to yourself.
